日本語の美しさや言葉の力を見つめ直せるような優れたエッセーや作文に贈られるNPO法人日本語検定委員会主催の日本語大賞で、最優秀の文部科学大臣賞の受賞者には茨城県古河市の小学生1年生ら4人に決まった。今年のテーマは小・中学生の部が「心にひびいた言葉」、高校生・一般が「私を動かした言葉」。計3487点の応募があった。
