三重大学主催、三重県国際交流財団後援の「地域社会の多様性の促進する日本語教育研究会」。日本で暮らす外国人が日本人と一緒になって安心して日常生活を送れるよう、社会全体で取り組むことを目的としたイベントで、講演とワークショップを開催。ワークショップでは普段の何気ない会話を観察し、日本語を教える際の留意点を考える。
